When the cook comes from behind the counter and is donned in an apron bearing the name "Big Daddy", you know you are in for a treat! The food was excellent, well proportioned and price appropriately. We ordered the patty melt, The blacksmith, bacon cheese burger, and a grilled cheese and ham! I ordered the onion rings with mine and they were the perfect ratio of onion and crunchy battering! The fries were not greasy and crunchy on the outside with soft potato inside. They serve breakfast all day everyday and are very flexible if you want lunch for breakfast. They also have a buffet during their lunch hours. Our meal for 4 adults and one child, 3 fountain drinks and 2 waters was $39 without tip. I would definitely recommend this place.

We stopped due to the reviews.  Staff was friendly and food was decent for the price.  The steak was not cooked on an open flame as we were promised, the grilled catfish was good.  The smoking and non smoking sections are separated by a large, open walkway and overall the place had a slight dirty feel.

This is a no frills small town diner that serves up food mainly to the locals unless a visitor passes through. The employees who were working were welcoming and pleasant. The food is home made and the prices are fantastic for a hot, fresh made breakfast. There was too much for me to eat and even my husband couldn't clean his plate. The establishment was clean and reminded me of eating breakfast at home minus the work. The prices were super reasonable and next time we pass this way we will stop in.

I had my first visit to this great little cafe today.  The service was very friendly and fast. Our waitress was wonderful. The food was great. I loved the onion rings! The biscuits were amazing. I also really liked their coffee. The ladies restroom was nice and clean, too. I really enjoyed my first visit there and will return. I want to try out their weekend breakfast buffet next.

We decided to try this place after seeing the reviews online however we were quickly regretting our decision. The whole restaurant was dirty, the waitress had long nails with dirt underneath them, over cooked food, and the staff was less than friendly.
